Rationing Self Employed Health Care

Jun 9th, 2011

Life as we the people have come to respect and enjoy is about to change forever unless the government is willing and able to make additional changes to the passage of the Affordable Care Act that was passed into law over a year ago. This newly introduced affordable health insurance coverage is such a travesty to have happened in this fine country. The foundation of what this country is about is being torn apart and we still are left unaware of what we will become in the future.

However, rationing medical care in today’s climate is what the affordable health insurance mandate is structured to be over time. The entire Affordable Care Act was structured around the cost of every item from bandages to open heart surgery. Because of this newly formed structure, rationing care holds a prominent place. Every medical item down to the minutest particle will be based on the age, health, time of recovery required, and the initial cost of any medical procedure.

We the people now have in place a team of seventeen individuals whose sole purpose is to decide the fate of every citizen who approaches a medical assistant with an issue. Even the medical physician will no longer have the last word as to what his or her patient requires to continue living a quality life. Think about it and see what conclusions you come to.

The entire self-employed health care insurance community as we have been taught is about to change drastically as we move to a health rationing system. The pharmaceutical industry has already begun to announce the diminishing stock of medications that we the people use daily. Other pharmaceutical medications that come with an expensive price tag through our self-employed health plans have already been canceled.

Where is that going to leave us when we need medical assistance? The medical physician or the medical assistant will be forced to prescribe medication that is less potent and will take longer for you to become well. Of course, now that we will be making appointments with government-sanctioned medical clinics, the level of medical care will be rationed by the ability of the person you are visiting.

This will all depend on whether you will be able to afford the minimal cost of treatment because you will be very busy trying to pay for the government-mandated low-cost affordable health insurance policy first. When you are fortunate enough to receive a legitimate medical prescription will you have any money left to have the prescription filled? Are you beginning to understand the lesson in futility all because you thought you wanted this change?
